We, the inhabitants and the citizens of the Union and the Union institutions, are destined to use English. A short text on the use and the future of English in the Union. The text is in Czech. I know that only 3% of the inhabitants or citizens of the Union understand Czech. But it is a part of the point. Use a translator or ask for help 🙂

The European Union is an internatinal organisation of sovereign national states similar to other such organisations, in particular similar to the organisation of the United Nations. Two short texts on the nature of the Union and its 24 official languages. The texts are in Czech. I know that only 3% of the inhabitants or citizens of the Union understand Czech. But it is a part of the point. Use a translator or ask for help 🙂

I understand the Universe through words. A grasp of a language gives a perspective to a culture otherwise out of reach. We, the inhabitants and the citizens of the European Union, live in the situation of many languages, for example Czech, Finnish, Swedish. And there is English which is much more than just one in many languages of the Union.

I believe that we should take care of the direct relations between the communication...
