@BrianJopek Realistically, the negotiations are for nought, it's theatre, what Trump is trying to avoid is Houthis blockading the Bab al-Mandab strait. Because at that point it would be "Game Over!" for US-Israel. That threat is the deciding factor.

I'm trying to learn Geography based on comments by Amitav Ghosh interview about his _Nutmeg's Curse_ on DemocracyNow!. Trying to relate Ghosh's mention of the Strait of Hormuz to recent shipping disruptions (and price increases?) from Yemen's Houthi area turned up this info-graphic. Looks like the #BabAlMandabStrait is another chokepoint. These straits must not be as shallow as the Malacca Strait...?
