Buenos días y mejor inicio de semana. Aculepira ceropegia es esta araña, característica por el dibujo en forma de hoja de roble del abdomen. La presa en este caso una zigaena, que se supone que es tóxica. A la Aculepeira parece que se la trae al pairo.

The Santa Cruz Mountains are just exploding with California tortoiseshell butterflies right now. The reason is that their favorite plant, ceanothus (aka California lilac) is also exploding since the huge fire of five years ago. Today at Big Basin park there were thousands of them everywhere.
