An der Aussage von Kanzler Merz, 80 Prozent der Syrer sollten zurückkehren, gibt es viel Kritik. Nun betont der Kanzler, die Zielmarke stamme nicht von ihm. Was hat Merz gesagt? Und was würde das Ziel bedeuten? Von Markus Sambale.

Denn tagesschau.de, das Nachrichtenportal der #tagesschau, dem journalistischen Erzeugnis, dem die Menschen hierzulande am meisten vertrauen, schafft es nicht, die Aussage von Kanzler Merz als das einzuordnen, was es ist: #Bullshit. Statt dessen muss eine vorgebliche FAQ herhalten, in der ganz verschämt die Einschätzung eines Migrationsforschers wiedergegeben wird, die dieser in einem andern Medium geäußert hat.

Die tagesschau selbst hat es nicht geschafft, ein paar Fachleute anzurufen und zusammenzutragen, was deren Einschätzung ist. Also was aktueller Konsens unter Experten ist.

Statt dessen: Horse Race Journalism und 'He Said, She Said' Journalism.

This is just complete #bullshit! Playing not to lose is the surest way to lose. We have a self-defeating donor/consultancy class that took a completely winnable election last time & blew it by failing to go full out on offense. NOW they're advising more of the same, going into deep defensive mode.
