#introduction

I started my IT career on a mainframe before moving on to Novell Netware 3.1 (yes, that is a reveal-your-age-without-saying-it). I used to pull token ring cable in computer labs on Univ if Missouri campus before I discovered firewalls and the joy of packet captures. I worked for a state wide eduction ISP (MOREnet) before joining the #REN-ISAC. After more than 20 years in the eduction world, I left for the corporate world and now work for The Duck (Aflac). I am the founder of #BsidesSpfd (our #CFP opens soon!).

Outside of the cybers, I love to yell at the TV during football games (Go Chiefs!). I grow my own veggies in a backyard garden in the summer. I love to read and do counted cross stitch (such as the dragon in my profile pic).
