Bruno Barbieri si è lanciato in un nuovo format, pensato per i propri canali social, dal titolo “Bruno in the U.S.A” in undici puntate.” La mia missione è raccontare la storia di tanti giovani che hanno lasciato il nostro Paese non per disperazione, ma per cercare qualcosa di diverso nella loro vita. – ha dichiarato a Leggo – Non parliamo di persone che sono partite perché con l’acqua alla gola o perché in Italia non funzionava niente. Parliamo di gente arrivata negli Stati Uniti per costruire, per mettersi in gioco, per raccontare una storia importante: la storia del nostro Paese, del nostro lavoro, della nostra materia prima, ma soprattutto della nostra cultura”.
Nessuna intenzione di lasciare “MasterChef Italia”: “Per mandarmi via di dovranno avvelenare. Voglio essere seppellito a Rogoredo (ride, ndr). Io a MasterChef mi sono sempre dedicato tantissimo. Quando lo giro, per me esiste solo quello. Mi interessa scoprire talenti, capire le persone, raccontare il valore del cibo”.
E ancora: “Credo che MasterChef abbia fatto un lavoro enorme: ha fatto capire che dietro a un piatto non c’è solo il talento di uno chef, ma anche la storia di produttori, allevatori, artigiani, persone che ogni giorno fanno sacrifici per portare qualità in tavola. Tra le prossime mete c’è l’Africa “perché è un altro posto che conosco e dove voglio tornare. È un mondo estremamente interessante, anche dal punto di vista gastronomico. Io sono un battitore libero: mi alzo la mattina, chiudo la porta di casa e vado. Non devo niente a nessuno, sono un uomo libero nell’anima. E andare in giro per il mondo, con rispetto e curiosità, ti apre davvero la mente in maniera incredibile”.

Bruno Barbieri has launched a new format, designed for his social media channels, titled “Bruno in the U.S.A.” in eleven episodes. – he stated to Leggo – “My mission is to tell the story of many young people who left our country not out of desperation, but to seek something different in their lives. – We’re not talking about people who left because they were drowning or because nothing worked in Italy. We’re talking about people who came to the United States to build, to take a chance, to tell an important story: the story of our country, of our work, of our raw materials, but especially of our culture.”

No intention of leaving “MasterChef Italia”: “They’ll have to poison me to make me leave. I want to be buried in Rogoredo (laughs, ndr). I’ve always dedicated myself immensely to MasterChef. When I’m working on it, for me, it’s the only thing that exists. I’m interested in discovering talents, understanding people, and telling the value of food.”

And still: “I believe that MasterChef has done a huge job: it has shown that behind a dish there is not only the talent of a chef, but also the story of producers, farmers, artisans, people who every day make sacrifices to bring quality to the table. This was a very important cultural shift.”

Among the next destinations is Africa “because it’s another place I know and where I want to return. It’s an extremely interesting world, also from a gastronomic point of view. I’m a free spirit: I get up in the morning, close the door of my house and go. I owe nothing to anyone, I’m a free man in my soul. And traveling around the world, with respect and curiosity, truly opens your mind in an incredible way.”
