The UK signs a deal to rejoin the EU’s Erasmus student exchange program.

More than 100 000 students are expected to benefit in the scheme’s first year alone, according to the UK government, which negotiated to contribute £570 million towards the scheme’s costs in 2027.

Encouraging (and providing accessibly ways for) students to experience other cultures and ways of teaching & learning is a fantastic tool for broadening horizons and improving understanding & tolerance.

It was a travesty that #Brexit meant the end to the UK's involvement in #Erasmus and it's heartening to see this bridge being rebuilt.
