Gold for Abbi at BOAG Sporter Championships

Abbi Beech took top aggregate spot at the Sporter Air Rifle leg of the British Open Airgun Championships on Sunday. Placing second on the Championship match, she improved in the second match to take gold, by a lage enough margin to win gold in the Aggregate.

Sporter Air Rifle is a stripped-back version of precision 10m air rifle that uses smaller, lighter rifles such as the Air Arms MPR, and does not allow specialist jackets or trousers.

Slipping to third after shot 12, he slowly climbed back into second position, with a massive 10.8 on shot 17., developing a 2.6 point lead over eventual Bronze medalist James West. Aidan was a little too far ahead to be caught though, finishing the gold medal shoot-off 0.8 points ahead of a resurgent Oliver.
