LONDRA (INGHILTERRA) (ITALPRESS) – Sarà l'Arsenal l'avversaria dello Sporting Lisbona ai quarti di finale di Champions League. Dopo l'1-1 dell'andata, la squadra di Arteta stende per 2-0 il Bayer Leverkusen all'Emirates Stadium grazie alle reti di Eze e Rice. Solo Arsenal fin dai primi minuti. I Gunners occupano la metà campo avversaria, guadagnando metri di minuto in minuto. Le occasioni non mancano, ma il protagonista della prima mezz'ora è un attentissimo Blaswich, che neutralizza tutte le conclusioni dei padroni di casa. Al 15′ nega la prima rete a Trossard, ripetendosi al 29′ sempre sul belga, con un grande riflesso della gamba con la quale devia una conclusione a botta sicura del suo avversario. Neanche lui, però, può niente sulla rete del vantaggio firmata al 36′ da Eze, che riceve al limite da Trossard e si inventa un missile al volo diretto sotto la traversa. La reazione del Leverkusen nei minuti successivi non è abbastanza per impensierire Raya e compagni. Si va all'intervallo sul risultato di 1-0. Il Bayer comincia la ripresa portandosi subito in avanti alla ricerca di spazi in un Arsenal che non si scopre. La squadra di Arteta, però, sa pungere anche in questa sua versione. Al 63′ Rice azzanna un pallone nella metà campo avversaria, se lo sistema e trova una rasoiata che si infila nell'angolino alla sinistra di Blaswich. 2-0. Al 71′ il neo entrato Havertz mette in porta la palla del 3-0, ma Makkelie annulla per un tocco di mano dell'attaccante tedesco. Al 77′ Quansah ci prova di testa su cross di Culbreath, ma la sfera non inquadra lo specchio. La vera grande occasione per gli ospiti arriva all'87' quando Kofane, servito a centro area da Culbreath, tenta un mancino di prima intenzione verso la porta: Raya vola e intercetta il pallone. After the 1-1 draw in the first leg, Arteta’s team defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Eze and Rice. Only Arsenal dominated from the start. The Gunners occupied the opponent’s midfield, gaining meter by meter. Opportunities were plentiful, but Blaswich was the star of the first half, neutralizing all the home side’s shots. At the 15′ he denied Trossard’s first attempt, repeating himself at 29′ always against the Belgian, with a great reflex of the leg with which he deflected a close-range shot from his opponent.
