Today's protest at Assen station was an emergency action in response to the Israeli introduction of a death sentence for Palestinians only.

We were indoors with placards, and a recording which sounds a lot like the usual public address system in the railway station, but which informs people about the ongoing genocide.

Every other Saturday (the odd week numbers) there's a demo for Palestine in Groningen. I rode my bike up there today to take part and met a friend who I rode part way home with.

This is the last Thursday of the month so our protest at Assen railway station was in silence apart from the reading of names and ages of Palestinians killed by Israel.
All the deaths are tragedies, but it hits harder when the ages are those of children and infants.

This evening a group of us once more protested for Palestine and against the Israeli genocide outside Assen railway station. This happens outside all Dutch railway stations (or at least many of them) from 18:00 until 19:00, every Thursday.
Thinking as always of the many people suffering from Israel's and the USA's genocidal violence, be they in Gaza, the West Bank, Iran, Lebanon, Syria or any other land undergoing war and occupation.

Pot banging for Gaza tonight outside Assen railway station.
Genocidal Israel's appetite for death is enormous.
Palestinians are still kept in a state of suffering, while the Israelis also attack Iran and Lebanon. All of this is assisted by the USA, which under the current regime is even further off the rails than is usual for that continuously war mongering country.
