A fun and challenging rope practice this evening.
Waiting to board a helicopter in the early morning after spending the night with a subject and their two dogs. A late night search for a missing person earlier this week lead to a somewhat long and complicated rescue. The subject had minor injuries, was found at 1am but snow, mud, and complicated terrain kept the team in place until a helicopter was sent in the early morning to extract the subject, the dogs, and the rescue team members.

Members of Sunshine Coast SAR responded to a mutual aid request on Nelson Island, working with teams from Powell River SAR and Comox Valley SAR on a task for a person living with dementia who had spent the night outside.

On Friday, 30 members of Comox Valley SAR were out on 3 tasks for a total of 11 people, 5 dogs, 1 cat, and 4 sheep rescued from flooding.
