Huh… ICBC (the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia - BC's public auto-insurance corp) sent out an email explaining the rules and best practices for using a roundabout.
We're getting a new roundabout on an important intersection of Highway 4 in #PortAlberni. They're building it now at Hwy4 and Beaver Creek Road. Quite the project!
This is a handy primer/reminder on how to use roundabouts. Most people around here seem either clueless or terrified of them. lol

There is a little bit of snow on the side of the road at Taylor River near Sutton Pass. Be careful today! Doesn’t look like any other cameras have snow on the South Island but that could change.

From last night. Looking over Kennedy Lake toward the Pacific on our way home.
Saw #WesleyRidge this morning just before 5AM. shocking.
Nearly one half of the entire north side of the lake has been consumed from Beaufort Park to a few hundred metres from the east end.
Both ends of the fire are active. It is from the lake to the top of the ridge.
I saw a tree “candle” on the west front of the fire as I drove by. 😢 Video is west side of the fire. No stopping on the #bchwy4. Video doesn’t do it justice, was very bright active.
Now 60 hectares and there is an evacuation order for Cameron Lake properties as well as an evacuation alert for Little Qualicum Falls campground (which, if the fire gets there, will also put the highway at risk as well as a number of homes)
There are a number of resources now fighting the fire.

BC Wildfire now has #WesleyRidge fire at 20ha. No indication that any firefighters assigned.
There is smoke over the Alberni Valley but thankfully air quality has not been impacted. Excellent readings across the Island.
