RichardRediscovered an album I haven't listened to in forever. Helen Callus playing #Bach's cello suites for viola. She really did a beautiful job. I went through a major #JSBach phase a few years ago. This album ranks up there. Well played and very well recorded. I do not know what kind of reception this album received in 2011, but I hope Ms. Callus got the credit she was due.

amazing performance of the Art of Fugue by the Netherlands Bach Society.
I put the timestamp to a Chorale and the last unfinished counterpoint which is presented in a mixed orchestral vocal style.
It features a completion and reintroduction of the original subject by Doeselaar, and it is my favorite completion, short and to the point.
Watch out for BACH leaving his signature in form of a fugue subject B (Bb in German) A C H (B in German) towards the middle.
