Black Liberation Month Cinema 

This month we will show 4 movies from different liberation struggles around the world at our Wednesdays Küfa.

We see it as our duty to educate ourselves on different struggles and to honour the many people who have been fighting for freedom with their lives.

There will be vegan food and drinks ☘️

25th of February: So many individual cases: Input from Migrantifa Berlin + Documentary “Polizeigewalt: Kein Freund, Kein Helfer - Lorenz und die Einzelfälle” (DF,  60min)

In Oldenburg, police shoot Lorenz A. dead. This film examines the isolated incident theory.

In six cases of fatal police violence, Hubertus Koch searches for structural commonalities.

He is aided by whistleblowers – police officers who report from within the police force.

Diesen Monat zeigen wir bei unserer Mittwochs-Küfa vier Filme über verschiedene Befreiungskämpfe rund um die Welt.

Wir sehen es als unsere Pflicht an, uns über verschiedene Kämpfe zu informieren und die vielen Menschen zu ehren, die mit ihrem Leben für die Freiheit gekämpft haben.

In Oldenburg erschießt die Polizei Lorenz A.. Dieser Film überprüft die Einzelfalltheorie.

In sechs Fällen tödlicher Polizeigewalt sucht Hubertus Koch nach strukturellen Gemeinsamkeiten.

Dabei helfen ihm Whistle Blower - Polizeibeamte, die aus dem Inneren des Polizeiapparats berichten.

Soli food event for Sudan

We invite you to our solidarity food event to draw attention to the often-forgotten Eritrean freedom fighters.

During the War of Independence (1961–1991) against Ethiopian occupation, thousands lost their lives. In 1978, many war-disabled fighters fled to Kassala in Sudan – a place of exile and survival until today.

In 2010, family members and comrades in exile in Germany and French founded the Verein Eritreischer Kriegsbehinderten Deutschland e. V. (Eritrean Disabled Association) to represent their rights and organize practical solidarity.

Soli Food Event for Sudan

Wir laden euch zu unserem Soli-Food-Event ein, um an die oft vergessenen eritreischen Freiheitskämpfer*innen zu erinnern.

Im Unabhängigkeitskrieg (1961–1991) gegen die äthiopische Besatzung verloren Tausende ihr Leben. 1978 flohen viele Kriegsversehrte nach Kassala im Sudan – bis heute ein Ort des Exils und Überlebens.

2010 gründeten Familienangehörige und Comrades im Exil in Deutschland und Frankreich den Verein Eritreischer Kriegsbehinderten Deutschland e. V. (Eritrean Disabled Association), um ihre Rechte zu vertreten und Solidarität praktisch zu organisieren.

The film tells the story of the 48-day strike at CFM in Berlin from the perspective of workers of Turkish origin 💜.

The employees of CFM, a subsidiary of Charité, fought under the slogan ‘Equal pay for equal work’.

Workers of Turkish origin were at the forefront of this struggle. We wanted to highlight their courage and solidarity – and that's how ‘48 Days’ came about.

The film tells their story in their own voices, recounting their resistance, their fight for decent working conditions and their solidarity.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with representatives of the striking workers of Turkish origin, the strike organising team and the film crew.

We look forward to an evening of exchange and solidarity.

🎟 Eintritt auf Spendenbasis.

Der Film erzählt die Geschichte des 48-tägigen Streiks bei der CFM in Berlin aus der Perspektive türkeistämmiger Arbeiterinnen 💜.

Die Beschäftigten der CFM, einer Tochterfirma der Charité, kämpften unter dem Motto „Gleicher Lohn für gleiche Arbeit”.

Türkeistämmige Arbeiterinnen standen dabei in der ersten Reihe. Ihren Mut und ihre Solidarität wollten wir sichtbar machen – so entstand „48 Tage“.

Der Film erzählt mit ihren eigenen Stimmen vom Widerstand, vom Kampf für würdige Arbeitsbedingungen und vom Zusammenhalt.

Im Anschluss an die Vorführung findet ein Gespräch mit Vertreter:innen der streikenden türkeistämmigen Arbeiterinnen, des Streik-Organisationsteams und des Filmteams statt.

Wir freuen uns auf einen gemeinsamen Abend voller Austausch und gelebter Solidarität.

On 22 July 2016, nine young people with migrant backgrounds were murdered in Munich in a racially motivated terrorist attack.

To this day, the families are fighting for recognition, for a dignified memorial and for consequences for the mistakes made by the authorities.

Thematic focus of the workshop:

• The victims and their relatives
• Failure of the police and politicians
• Media responsibility

The workshop is aimed at anyone interested and, in particular, at multipliers for political education work.

We will try out some methods that are suitable for educational work with teenagers and young adults.
