Reminded by Facebook that 6 years ago today I got - when holidaying in #Helsinki! - my second #autosomal #DNA test confirming I'd traced my Irish great granny right back to #Dublin. I needed DNA testing to verify huge gaps in the paper record (which prevented my dad getting a much wanted Irish passport). Cousins (so we thought) agreed to test. And we had positive matches! And even more matches since. So chuffed. Had a lovely family #reunion with them later too. #Genealogy #FamilyHistory #Ireland
