The U.S. is sliding from proto-fascism toward functional authoritarianism. Elections undermined, loyalty rewarded, law bent, the press delegitimization (they earned that one themselves, IMHO), enemies named. Cult-of-personality leadership. Tolerance or encouragement of political violence (I have reservations about this). Abroad, Russia collapses under its own war. Europe wrestles demographics, energy, legitimacy. Systems strain. Signals accumulate.
