C2PA was not even mentioned in this article, probably because no one trusts Adobe (the force behind the labeling standard). After all, they stand to make money either way the standard is used.

I was recently in Reims, France—for the champaign. But I happened to be there on the anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. In this room, which was camouflaged at the time by a functioning high school, papers were signed by representatives of the Allied nations, including General Eisenhower, and Germany, who officially surrendered. The document is still displayed in this museum.
