A Red Bellied Black Snake was blocking my path today. Until my backpack got caught on a tree branch & startled it away. Notice how absolutely silent they are. Amazing creatures.

Oh I haven't posted about our carpet snake visitor. Every day for the last week it has been sun baking along the retaining wall and then tucking itself back inside it again.
Today I saw it had dropped a monstrous poo! I've never seen snake poo before. I hope it's having a good feed on the non native rats and not the Antechinus buddies.
This is just Ares showing off. She sees your #GreenTreePython and raises you #Antaresia attitude. I put that mouse on her rocks, she got up over it to strike, constrict and eat it. You might be able to see its back feet between her coils.
