Good grief little one there are better places to hang out 🤦🏼♀️
Heather EvansG’day Fedi friends. I was up & out the door by 6am & starting my walk by 6.15am, just shy of dawn & it was 19c then - 41c 🥵 is the yukky forecast for today.
I was pretty warm by the time I finished about an hour later & 5km done. It was lovely out there, I saw lots of cows 🐄, two adolescent kangaroos 🦘 having a box, but too far away to photograph, lots of little grass parrots & fairy wrens but luckily no danger noodles 🐍.
I’m only just starting my breakfast after giving the garden a good watering. That’s pretty much me done for the day unless doing some washing counts! I also need to prepare for going back to Chiltern tomorrow for 4 days.

Tadpole update! There is at least one mega-tadpole in the pond. I haven't been able to get a photo though, but this is, to the best of my ability, what they look like now.

rustyWhile watering, this morning my brother noticed basin of garden birdbath was upside down on grass. Picked it up and…look who’s underneath, blinking sleepily at him.
Took about 10mins for him/her to wake up and scamper away. Probably thought “hell…what did I have to drink last night?”
The tadpoles have been growing nicely, getting big and good at hiding. Even more exciting, the pot pond next to my main frog pond also got some frogspawn deposited in it, and I got to see a new batch of tadpoles hatching.

"No, Australian Silkies. You can hear them yapping in the night. Look at the bite marks. Poor girl was nibbled to death."
"How come I've never heard of this before?"
"They're picky eaters. These aren't any cattle. I produce wagyu beef. Silkies only take premium stock."
"Oh."
"That your Range Rover parked over there?"
"Err, yes."
"I'd watch out if I were you."
Update on the tadpoles. They're growing well, doing lots of swimming and eating. Been fun watching their antics.

Update on my frog pond; WE HAVE TADPOLES! I repeat, TADPOLES! So excited to watch these little ones grow. Looks like the frogs liked the pond after all.
