What? That is right...

A New episode on Audio Signals Podcast 🥳

Audio Signals is where I explore #storytelling across all mediums—the craft, the passion, the philosophy behind the stories that make us human. It's not about the business. It's about the art.

My favorite quote is "We are all made of stories"

On this episode I chat with Dave Tourjé about his Art & Music, Skateboarding, Los Angeles now and in the 80s and Never Selling Out

"You have to learn to destroy what you're creating to really become free. Otherwise you're gonna be trapped by your own creation."

Dave Tourjé is a painter, musician, skateboarder, and founding member of the California Locos. He survived 80s LA. Quit art school. Walked away from galleries when they tried to tell him what to paint.

Instead of finding a patron, he built one—a construction company that pays him without anyone controlling his art.

"The story is the painting."

We talked about Los Angeles, the California Locos, the book "Renaissance and Rebellion" and what it really means to stay free as an artist.

🖍️ Mythology, empathy, and cartooning collide in this new episode of Audio Signals Podcast.

I mostly post about #Technology, #Society & #Cybersecurity — but by now, you probably know I’m also obsessively passionate about storytelling in every form.

So, here you go — a new episode from my Audio Signals Podcast, where I muse on #stories, #storytelling, and #storytellers.

🖍️ What happens when you mix mythological gods, emotional storytelling, and a #Peanuts illustrator who teaches empathy through comic strips?

You get #Mythtickle — and you get Justin Thompson, whom I’m honored to host on the podcast for the second time!

In this latest conversation, Justin returns to talk about his original comic strip, how he teaches compassion through art, and the creative freedom (and chaos) of building your own mythological universe.

We also touch on:
• Teaching kids in Brooklyn and Tanzania
• The upcoming Peanuts version of #Clue (yes, really)
• And how his book If I Gave the World My Blanket is being adapted into a musical play for children
