There is a massive difference between opinions and facts. Facts are objective statements that can be proven using evidence, while opinions are subjective expressions of belief or feeling that cannot be conclusively verified.
We are entitled to our opinions, but nobody gets to choose their own invented facts.
If science is fact-based while religion is typically just a collection of beliefs and emotions, you can probably guess which side of this balance I favour.
