I have to state without equivocation that buying an Asustor NAS was one of the biggest mistakes in my entire life. And I have made some REALLY big mistakes in my life.

I'm pretty high on the geeky-scale and yet this thing still managed to delete 38TB of my data without warning me. But that's another story.

Today's example is a tool they offer to sync a folder with Dropbox. I have 1.72TB of data on my Dropbox account, but less than 1TB of that has been copied to my NAS.

Asustor tells me I am "Up To Date". I paused it, restarted, and once again it concludes I am "Up To Date".

If you weren't a geek, and simply trusted the information provided by their web UI, you would have no idea there was even a problem.
