Didier Queloz, Prix Nobel de physique, à l'origine de la "révolution des exoplanètes"

En 1995, Didiez Queloz fait la découverte de la première exoplanète, en orbite autour de l’étoile 51 Pegasi, au cours de sa thèse à l’Université de Genève sous la direction de Michel Mayor. Cette découverte leur vaudra en 2019 le Prix Nobel de physique.

The James Webb Space Telescope #JWST has captured a pair of #galaxies distorting each other as they merge in a great galactic get-together.

The ongoing cosmic collision imaged by Webb is known as II ZW 96. It is roughly 500 million light-years from #Earth and located in the #constellation #Delphinus, according to a Nov. 30 #NASA statement.

Source: I bought a nice new eyepiece.

Bonus: my 5yo wanted to get her telescope out. I said no, because it's overcast. Now she is mad at me, personally, for the weather.
