À l’occasion du récent départ de Sophie Adenot pour l’ISS, nous sommes allés à la rencontre de Claudie Haigneré, première femme française à partir dans l’espace, pour qu’elle nous raconte sa première mission à bord de la station MIR.

I just finished the book *Star Bound*. It's a great introduction to the history of the American space program. It's non-technical and aimed at laymen. If you think rockets are cool & can read a book with no pictures, then you're smart enough to read it. It's humorous, but its humor never gets in the way.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who thinks it looks interesting.

SpaceX could lose contract for Artemis 3 astronaut moon-landing mission, acting NASA chief says: 'The problem is, they're behind'

Speaking as someone who doesn't lose their mind whenever Elon Musk is involved, I think this is a good thing. Not only are they behind, but a **lot** has changed since the contract was awarded too.

NASA may pull SpaceX's Artemis 3 moon-landing contract

"I'm gonna open up the contract. I'm gonna let other companies compete with SpaceX."

Space enthusiasts aren't very enthusiastic right now. Many of them believe China will be the first to return to the Moon in 2027. But don't forget, the space race started when the USSR beat the USA to orbit.

#spaceengine #space1999 #astronomy #astronautics

7 Must-Read Astronautics Books for Future Aerospace Engineers

Los Angeles CA (SPX) Jul 23, 2025 - Astronautical engineering is the branch of aerospace engineering that focuses on designing and developing the science of space exploration. However, its value does not start with rockets and satellites-it begins with concepts, words, and numbers. It starts with books.
