Restless energy wants—perhaps even needs—to be transmuted. The art you create expands outwards, reaching far beyond and tickling the hearts of people you have never met—will never meet.

The truth is oneness. The truth is wholeness. Even in our darkest moments, when overcome with grotesque shame, divinity walks right alongside us. There is no being within this universe who exists separate from harm, from pain, or from shadow.

We all come from darkness, and to darkness we must one day return.

Intense longing. Chaos versus stability. Contextualizing intellectual values.

To make something of oneself—to be successful—often means conforming to an ever-shrinking paradigm, one that seeks to compress and contort. We are all operating under the assumption that we are not enough, that we never will be enough. If only we could be a little more attractive, a little more intelligent, make a little more money. Maybe then we would finally feel secure with our place in the world.

But such fantasies deny reality. The world changes not by virtue of us humans, but by virtue of its own nature. Tides shift in and out. Leaves on trees turn from green to orange to red before falling to the ground. The sweltering heat of the summer sun dissipates as winter creeps near. Change is part of our cosmic design, etched into the deep recesses of our bones. To be truly free is to accept ourselves as ever-evolving, ever-transforming.

The lie of stability is the lie of stagnancy. Nothing is ever truly stagnant, not as long as water courses through our veins and oxygen fills our lungs. Come into your power. Feel into expansion.

Re-awakening the shadow. The desire to go deep.

In your lifetime perhaps you can recall times where people have wielded their power over you in destructive or manipulative ways. But the reverse is just as true.

We always want to be seen as the victim, never the victimizer. Unfortunately, power swings in both directions rather easily, and it is rare indeed to find someone self-aware enough to counter such a force. But we all must begin somewhere. Now is as good a time as any to start.

The next time a wrongdoing is committed against you or another, swim beyond just the surface. Reflect on what it means, how it feels. Do not let anger camouflage the deeper hurt. Do not suppress your experience lest it cement itself into life-long resentment. Act in a way that is honest. Feel in a way the preserves truth. When we can acknowledge our pain, we need not weaponize it against those more vulnerable than us.

Harm reflects only a failure to turn inwards. It can never be a place where true power resides.
