There was a lot of rain and only 11°C, the next day.
The best weather to visit a Museum, right? 😉
So I went to the #AstridLindgren Museum at #Vimmerby.
Astrid had been a very independent and strong women. Got unmarried pregnant at the age of 18, worked for the swedish secret service during WW2 and had been a very political person. ✌️
You can take a look at the birthplace of Astrid, too. 🏡
The one and only #katthult is near Mariannelund and just a short detour away of the #AstridLindgrenLeden
Emil/Michel was one (maybe the one) of my childhood heroes. 😊
And maybe I cycled this route just to visit the areas where the story takes place. 😇
And yes, Katthult is a very nice place to be - even if you're not so into Emil/Michel. 🫠
The second day of the #AstridLindgrenLeden started with a quick jump in the Lake and a relaxing breakfast. Just me and some birds. 😊
But the weather is changing... 🍂
Leaving with a good feeling this morning, went to #mariannelund. Super nice woods and lakes, some steep climbs are waiting for me.
At Mariannelund I visited the first places of Emil/Michel. And cycled along some burned houses. What is going on here? 🤔😅

At the campside I went swimming in the cold lake. And I've got some apples from a women. When she saw my bike she added some more. 🙏🏼😊
Enjoyed the peaceful sunset at the lake.
Followed along the #AstridLindgrenLeden from #jönköping to a nice cozy campside at a lake.
Weather was warm and I enjoyed the up and down of the smooth hills. 🌞
After #Eksjö I cycled through more gravelish parts and my inner child was so happy to see all this cute red cottages and farms. 🤩
Just waited for the classic jelling of: "Eeeeeemiiiilllll!"* 😄
The area was so calm and beautiful...
