Absolutely. There is a lot of highly gameable stuff in German folk tales, even beyond the popular "Magical Treasure Hunt" subgenre.

It would make for a fascinating #ttrpg setting, and I would love to write it if I had enough time (but I do not, and thus my translations must take priority).

And there would certainly be plenty of fodder for video games, too. I have to admit, I am curious how faithful the upcoming #AssassinsCreed : Hexe will be to German folklore - although I suspect the answer will be: "Not much"...

I love exploring open-world games. After uncovering yet another new location in AC: Shadows, I felt a sharp sense of how impoverished the game world is. There are too many settlements with nothing but NPCs walking in circles and maybe a shrine if you're lucky. It feels like a massive missed opportunity. This world is neither cozy nor diverse.
