But today, May 16th, is #NickelDay and any country with a 3-storey tall Nickel statue should be excited about this important mineral. Canada was 6th in Nickel production in 2022, 5th in 2023, and the mineral is increasingly important for its use in batteries for electric vehicles. Sudbury Ontario provides half of Canada’s supply.
