Favourite time loop game? - Feddit UK

I just finished Rue Valley and I’m curious to see how other games handle time loops.

How's your game wishlist doing? Is it long? What's your criteria? (etc.) - sh.itjust.works

“The Holiday Season” is imminent. This is your opportunity to share how you manage your game wishlist. The wishlist could be on Steam, IsThereAnyDeal, Google Play, your brain, anywhere. Some questions to prompt you: * How long is it? * What makes you wishlist something? * What makes you remove something? * How do you choose what do buy and when? * What wishlist game are you most anticipating getting? * Any interesting stories of how a game ended up on your list?

I sold my PS5 yesterday after a year of not touching it. To me this console generation was a complete failure and has pushed me to PC gaming. Any others have a similar experience?

After 5 years of owning a PS5, mine is off to a new home after gathering dust on a shelf for a year. I have had PlayStation’s since the PS2 era, and this is the first generation where it felt like a dead experience on PlayStation. Playstation used to have great single player games and I still played those, but those games were all from the PS4 era. Instead Sony tried to do live service garbage and it was a disaster. Honestly if the PS5 did not have backward comparability to PS4, I don’t think I would have played anything notable on it. Add on that I have to pay a subscription for online play and it just feels like a waste of money to have a PS5. I bought a used PC for under $200 and installed Bazzite on it. This little thing has crushed the PS5 for me. Huge catalogue of games and free multiplayer. Add emulation on top of that and my PlayStation could not compete. Feels like the end of an era. Consoles are dead and PC’s and Linux gaming is the future.

I know a young teenager that wants to play #Cyberpunk2077 and my gut is telling me they shouldn’t yet. Sure the sex and violence is over-the-top but what’s making me think they should wait is how they have been sheltered from the horrors of capitalism in their own life to the point that the entire game will go completely over their head

When it comes to the content of a videogame that a young person wants to play (at any age you’d like to talk about), what sort of content would you consider to be crossing the line to the point that you would strongly recommend that they don’t play it?

What search terms does one use to look for virtual worlds with player-independent systems just doing their things making the worlds feel "alive"?

That's like the best of both worlds to me, especially when it's basically creative/free roaming mode. Sometimes ya just wanna vibe in strange virtual places.

Tried searching around but didn't surface any clear info: anyone know roughly how many people have to use a tag on Steam before it starts appearing for others to apply/search by?

I realize the info is likely deliberately withheld by Valve to mitigate people gaming the system, but also that that won't stop people figuring out some rough info on it.

Is Steamdb's tags page relatively comprehensive for the tags used across Steam?

If so I'm kind of surprised that Grindy isn't a tag on there. I'd like that to filter out those games, and those that love them could more easily find'em. Win-win!

So, given the kinda joke about people hating phone calls, yet using voice chat in games, I can't help wondering what people's preferences may be on chatting in games.

When you play online games, which do you lean towards when it comes to text/voice chat, or other options I didn't fit here, contextual pinging (e.g. Apex Legends), emotes, or voice/chat commands (e.g. Team Fortress 2/AoE 2)?

Repost/boost as you will, curious about this!
