Seems like the @askamanager site's been down for a while today (at least from where I am). That's a noticeable absence in my day these days! It's one of my faves: reliable for a bit of low-key interesting reading on practical questions of human interaction, occasionally very funny.
It also brings to mind this #AskAManager question: https://www.askamanager.org/2013/08/my-office-will-not-stop-freaking-out-that-i-take-the-bus-to-work.html
TL;DR a woman takes the bus and her coworkers are shocked.
Every day, three people offer her a lift home, unprompted, out of misplaced (and possibly racist, definitely classist) concern. Whatever about their motivations, they clearly don't view it as a burden to give a coworker a lift! And this appears to be America, where public transport is even worse than in Ireland!
In which the normally sensible "ask a manager" person does NOT reply "your question is ridiculous because of course ghosts don't exist".
Whoo, I 100% needed the laugh this gave me after work today! I was in tears at a few of them, so prepare yourselves:
Gluten-free communion. #AskAManager
#AskAManager The staff in my radioactive materials lab seem to be under a lot of stress. They're taking lots of sick time and some even seem to be losing their hair.
Should I throw a pizza party?
This (fanfic) edition of Ask a Manager should thrill fans of both Human Resources departments and The Venture Bros.
