@cassolotl What kind of mess you got?
Protein based stains: enzyme cleaner like Zout or one of those pet stain sprays with enzymes. If that doesn't work, you can graduate up to hydrogen peroxide. If THAT doesn't work, unflavored meat tenderizer.
Most everything else: oxyclean
Some oil-based stains: WD40

Replacing the guide wire and chain AND ball, because the guide wire won't stay in the top of the ball.
Don't worry, I know how to do this because I've done it before. I'm just complaining.

@hillbillyoracle I listen to the #AskACleanPerson podcast and have a Special Interest in cleaning, but I have certainly wondered how diff the landscape of living space maintenance work would be if kids weren’t raised w/ gender expectations abt it, for sure, & accompanying diff hangups.
For example, nobody is surprised that I do stay-home house stuff, but it’s apparently REVELATORY that I include mechanical skills like plumbing in that? bc I’m mixing my gEnDeReD cHoReS oh no
