All transplanted to remediated soil area - it used to be lawn grass with crappy soil with too much clay. Now, I'm growing food on it 😁

#PakChoi #plants in 3 gallon pots.
“Pak Choi” translates to “white vegetable” in Cantonese due to their white stems. Cultivation began in the #YangtzeRiver Delta region & spread to other parts of Asia, thanks to traders & migrating populations.

Pak choi looks almost identical to bok choy but they're two different plants. Pak choi has darker leaves as it matures. Pak choi stems are white, more visibly so when matured. Bok choy stems are pale green. Pak choi has more of a peppery undertone taste, while bok choy has subtle sweetness. We grow both of these similar plants in our backyard food gardens.

I have 3 blueberry plants & only one has produced berries so far.

My spinach photo is from May 17–I wish now I had taken one today, because the three plants completely filled the pocket.

So…I harvested 3 spinach plants from my GreenStalk and steamed them for dinner! I added in a leaf each of Komatsuna, chijimisai, and summer mizuna, then three little sprigs of marjoram. The plant in the back of the pocket was starting to bolt, so I only took its smallest leaves.
