Once again: it doesn’t come up OFTEN, but the fact that #AscendanceOfABookworm IS an isekai MATTERS to Main, and sometimes, especially when her family is involved, on a deep, DEEP, emotional level.
That’s the typically GOOD character writing I’ve come to expect from this show.
I mean, it’s clear to her family that Ferdinand is doing his best for her, and they reluctantly accept.
But even so, that’s gotta sting.
Especially given how MUCH that family loves each other, and how desperate Main is to stay with them (having already lost ONE family to being isekai’d she really, truly, does NOT want to lose another). #AscendanceOfABookworm
God, that’s a bitter pill for Main and her family to swallow: be adopted at age 10 or be executed as a danger to the country. #AscendanceOfABookworm
It does NOT help that Main’s mana is running wild and out of control. To the point where she’s a threat to the stability of the entire country. Ferdinand is doing the best he can for her, but he can only do so much… #AscendanceOfABookworm
Also: Main being homesick after just one day is adorable, but I do feel sorry for her. #AscendanceOfABookworm
