It honestly feels weird to be celebrating Christmas this year given what's happening in the world. Nevertheless, this #community #choir I direct will be doing our best to spread some love and cheer in their hometown of #Celbridge tomorrow at noon. We'll be joined by two wonderful special guests too.

Voices of Spring is an #artsandhealth project for older people, with a special welcome for those living with or effected by #dementia and other age-related illnesses.

Today I've been prepping for my first session back with a community #choir I direct called Voices of Spring, after a 5-week hiatus due to other work commitments. It's a #dementia friendly group who've been together since 2017 and are funded through #Kildare County Council's Arts & Health programme. My bio lists #GriefandLoss as one of my interests, but I have yet to post on the subject.
I lost my beloved sister in 1999 when she was 15 & I was 24, & lost my father (69) quite suddenly to #PancreaticCancer in 2016.
As an #ArtsAndHealth practitioner I have encountered loss in all its forms, working with those living with #dementia & other age-related illnesses, & also with the #Bereaved.
