I got asked to put my work up in a local coffee & bagel shop, Frankie’s NY Bagels. It’s a very queer and family friendly space that gets over 1000 patrons every week. Big interior with lots of wall area. Last year they sold over 470 pieces of art. I’ll be getting a 12’x12’ segment, and my stuff will be up for six months over the summer! I’m so excited!! It’s a big opportunity for me.

I’m feeling very very tired. My livestream app crashed on me so I didn't get to save the recording. But the piece is coming along. I’m doing a bee in a flower. I have a very long way to go, but it’s getting there.

I had to find a new storefront option because the platform I’d been using decided to fold, and I wanted to bring “everything Corey” under one roof anyway. So now I’m doing it for myself.

I needed to use Shopify because of the various back-end integrations. And my husband uses it every day for his day job, so leaning on him has been incredibly helpful.

Together we got this done in a week and a half. Not all the almost 300 listings are finished, and I have still even more to put up, but we decided to push the button.

For the first time, I’ve started to offer my limited edition signed and numbered prints, so that’s a huge step forward.

And I can integrate my wholesale offerings, too, keeping track of my inventory all in one spot. And my POS stuff. Soon I’ll be able to do barcode stickers on all my stuff to assist in checkout at fairs and festivals and actually track what I’m selling across all the venues and platforms.

I needed this to grow. I’m really excited about it!

But I’m *NOT* hopping on their Shop App, which just sucks everything posted on it into a gen-AI agentic assistance black hole pit. My shop is my own.

Oy, I’m tired. More work to do, but I’m happy thus far. Whew!

Signs XHS's algorithm is a bit confused, but got the spirit; I've looked at so many Chinese exchange students' posts* I'm now getting tips on how to immigrate to Sweden.

(*I do this mostly for two reasons; character design background research, and to check that we behave.)

Most of the messages folks send me, when they're signing up for my #StickersAndStamps project, are wonderful.

Some are very odd, like this recent one: "I want a nice tattoo not one that is too ugly".

This person looked at the photo of the temporary tattoo designs I was giving away, requested that I send one, and then added this comment to their request.

The comment was so odd that I had to just laugh through the insult. Ha!
