Clement, a US solicitor general during the Republican admin of George W. Bush who has argued >100 cases before #SCOTUS, has clashed with the #Trump admin in other cases.

He is representing WilmerHale in its lawsuit challenging an #ExecutiveOrder Trump signed last month targeting the #US #LawFirm's business w/federal contractors & restricting its access to government officials and buildings.

#HannahDugan, a #Milwaukee County circuit judge, was charged Friday w/obstructing a govt proceeding & concealing an individual to prevent arrest.

I just can't even with the #SupremeCourt right now. #SCOTUS just gave blanket #immunity to the current and all future #Presidents for anything they can cast as #officialacts.

And yeah, that does mean outlandish things like ordering their political opponents jailed or worse.

But it also means using all Presidential powers to further criminal enterprises.

So now the #mob is going to try to get elected President.

It's time to stop listening to anyone who says #CourtReform is too big of a job. We need to #voteBiden and #electDemocrats up and down the ballot, they need to #ExpandSCOTUS and add more courts and judges up and down #ArticleIII.

Then over the last 4 years of the #BidenAdministration we need to get this immunity bullshit reversed.

Rough thoughts on ethical standards for SCOTUS Justices. Article III imposes a "good behavior" standard for judges. There is no Constitutional reason why SCOTUS judges cannot be constitutionally held to the same standards of ethics as district or circuit court judges. Congress has the constitutional power to impose ethical rules to SCOTUS.
