Tot nu toe was de #bezetting van de #Universiteit #Gent erg rustig. Voor vele #studenten was dit de eerste keer dat ze een daad van #burgerlijkeOngehoorzaamheid stelden, maar ook de eerste keer dat ze #directeDemocratie gebruiken.

Naast studenten, waren er ook personeelsleden en professoren van de #UGent die hun steun komen betuigen, maar ook studenten en personeel van #HoGent en #Artevelde zijn langsgekomen om hun steun te betuigen aan zowel de bezetting van de UGent als de eisen.

En daarnaast is er ook buitengewoon veel persaandacht!

Up till now, the #occupation of #UGent was peaceful. We added lots of banners, pitched our tents in the building and had a great time! For many students, this is their first act of #civilDisobedience and their first contact with #decentralization , #spokecouncils and other forms of direct democracy.

We welcomed many students of the #UGent, but not only that. Staff and professors joined in, but also #HoGent and #Artevelde staff and students passed by, whom were all enthusiastic about our action and the cause!

But not only staff passed by, lots and lots of #press! We got featured all over the world.
