I'll be updating from the main #VIVAS collective art studios building & some of the art galleries in there with some photos & videos. I'll be popping in/out of Prickly Pear Studio at VIVAS to show you all some of the beautiful art works that are currently on display. If you can't attend the open house, you can enjoy some of our local artist creations, vicariously ๐๐จ

Another blur of bodies, unknown stories, unresolved paths. One seems clipped, shorn in two - but is perhaps emerging from behind an object. A hand melds with a face, shoulder and arm shrink into each other.

"Fire: Destructive, Regenerative, Sacred" now open at ArtPod in Metchosin! The exhibitions runs from the 20th of March to the 3rd of May.
In honour of World Earth Day, ArtPod presents Fire: Destructive Regenerative Sacred, the third part of the continuing Elements Series.
A powerful force of change, fire represents both renewal and destruction, the sacred and profane, safety and danger, passion and loss. All living beings have a primal relationship with fire. How has fire impacted you? Maybe you think of destructive wildfires. Or sharing stories and songs around a campfire. This exhibit explores the elemental force of fire across all artistic media.

I decided to plan my next art show. I will be showing my landscape and plein air work. Hereโs the twist: I specifically want this to be held in a public community building like a library or the Finley Center, or local government building. City hall or whatever. Because I really want this to be accessible to the general public, and a gallery sometimes makes people think they have to buy something.
I also think with the way our society is going we need to have community oriented things.
This may be odd because I actually do have a gallery connection and could set up a rental situation again but I canโt help but want this to be different right now.
Iโm calling around Sonoma County to see if this could happen.
