A hello and welcome! As I slowly try to transition my way from leaning so heavily on social media, and more towards traditional methods of sharing and collaborating, I encourage anyone who is interested in my art to sign up for my NEWSLETTER which is now live, on Substack. Feel free to sign up in the link in my bio.

Stay up to date with me, my lessons, and my art as I explore what it means to be an artist and a human all at the same time.

Just finished tracking how long it took me to write and setup my newsletter for tomorrow: 2h30!

It sometimes feels double that when I'm not focused, so having a timer really helped to stay on track.

This doesn't include making things to show and having interesting things to say; that I'm thinking about it all week :)

I’d like to remind everyone that I have a newsletter that I share on a bi-weekly basis. It is my primary tool for communicating information about my world as an artist. I invest a lot of time making it.

Over the years, I've accumulated a vast collection of phone wallpapers one can access for free simply for subscribing. I've got 508 as of the date of this post. I create a new one for every issue.

As walled garden platforms lean hard into making you see what they want you to rather than what you desire, it’s more important than ever to have the capacity to remain connected.

It used to be that people had one email and that was it, but no longer. I suggest creating one specifically for email newsletters you want. Not junk mail ones, but ones you purposely seek.

Use that power to see what you want.

Or get an RSS reader to follow the posts or blogs of the folks you want. They’re golden. I think it’s true that every Fediverse account on almost every Fediverse platform has an RSS feed built-in. So use it.

Take the time to curate what comes into your orbit. Don’t let algorithms foist what corpos want you to see into your world. You’re worth your time and effort.

Currently busy finishing up the latest edition of my newsletter, it will feature a new artwork which I haven't posted here yet! 🥰✨ So if you want an early view of it, you still have some time to subscribe before I'll send it out. 💕

If you’re not part of my Newsletter Club you might be wondering where I’ve been recently; but I actually shared a ton of art over there.

You already missed out on a complete preview of my picture book for example!

I also share other people art and my thoughts on this art journey. It’s like my own little weekly magazine :)

If you love my art, I’m happy to welcome you over here  ✨ https://club.nighten.fr

A lot of effort goes into writing each issue: it’s way more than just a recap of my week !

I not only go into the technique and the book I’m working on, but I also talk about my influences and what made me smile each week.

So if you’d like to dive deeper into my creative journey (and maybe win a free print impossible to get otherwise), I would love to have you join :) 🩷
