and while agreed that there's much that get thrown in the direction of women by a male sexually driven society, the example you cited just struck as par for the creative artist scene involved course regardless of if one is a man or a woman.

There's a lot of crying wolf these days where and when no wolves exist....
No need to follow such a herd is all I'm suggesting.
Notably when if anything, while scenester kids and such may bite into such, ones actual peers of other artist and such are likely to see through it (because they to, live the life).

and at this point, the process of it's own self destruction is nearly complete.... in fact it's easily arguably it was already a zombie walking for years, but much like 9/11 radically changed the nature of working in the arts, 2020 slammed the pedal to the metal twice as hard.
