In my latest artwork, 'Stroking Cattle, before...', I delve into the tapestry of human relationships with sentient beings. This piece, born out of a collaboration between human creativity and artificial intelligence, challenges us to activate our empathy and reconsider our choices.
The genesis of this series was a contemplation on the definition of "sentient beings" and how humans interact with them. How we treat pets compared to animals raised for consumption led me to experiment with Midjourney, a generative designer AI.
'Stroking Cattle, before...' is a plea to end factory farming. It is a call to recognize the sentience of the beings we share this planet with and to make choices that are more compassionate and sustainable.
As an artist, I believe in the power of art to catalyze change and I hope to contribute to a dialogue that leads to more ethical and sustainable practices in our relationship with sentient beings.
