While I avoid forcing myself to finish the last six episodes of #DeepAffectionateEyes , I decided to start up the #cdrama #SiJin which stars Zhang Wan Yi who I loved in #AreYouTheOne and #LostYouForever , but so far it has the emotional depth of a tea cup with lazily brutal team-up-to-solve-murdered-women CSI: Miami type stories. 😒
Only 5/40 episodes in, so I'm hoping they add some more nuance and fewer corpses-in-wells plot drivers. I think they're trying to make it a comedy?
This tea story with the Tea Merchant Association feels a lot like the pottery story from #AreYouTheOne with the too-smart main character outwitting the out-of-date industry association and winning the favor of royals. 👀

I saw someone else on here mention it, how the relationship between the leads felt cold at the beginning, but it is appropriate considering they are strangers and she has amnesia! Then they really warm up and get some good chemistry and mutual respect between them. One of only two this year that I rated 9.5/10.
I finished episode 12 of 21 of the #cdrama #WillLoveInSpring and I'm irritated at BOTH of them right now. Like they are both stuck in a whirlpool, spinning towards each other, but flailing, slowing their spin together but also not getting out of the gravitational pull, either!

The Cui Ge character as a blind date for the FL's best friend was also the best friend of the ML in #AreYouTheOne that I just finished.
The FL's mom was also the boss lady from #SheAndHerPerfectHusband
OK, that was a good series. I don't usually go for revenge shows - as popular as "Marry My Husband" and "The Double" were. This felt much more like getting the gang back together to right a wrong. I was rooting for all of the pairings to make it. There were a few too many old-men-in-official-robes for me to keep track of which ones were which, but the plot bunnies didn't go too weird and the story felt mostly tight.
I think the Empress was my favorite character.
