Architecton is a highly visual esonic documentary that, at the end, touches on a question I had at the beginning.
I don't understand the purpose of spending so much time on the building of the garden circle rather than explaining why the use of stone is so important, and cement and concrete so wasteful.
Although it does highlight the damage using both in building does to the environment.
It's a beautiful movie to listen to, and watch.

In an obvious nod to Koyaanisqatsi, director Victor Kossakovsky has put together this ode to concrete, rock and stone. That right, concrete, rock and stone. In one respect, it is a stunning film. It is so filled with lush, languorous images of derelict places, ruins, quarries and the like, that it seems like a travelogue. But it definitely lacks the narrative strength of its predecessor and cannot come close to capturing what Godfrey Reggio tried to capture over 40 years ago, although there are scenes that try to capture the magic- but they are few and far between. And yet
Amid the rubble, it even offers a seed of hope: a simple, empty circle at the heart of a city, reminding us that nature must be central to our existence.
