Friesland offered good weather conditions today.

The other side of the Jade bight was covered in clouds.

My reservation time frame offered me a trip along Wangerooge, Spiekeroog, Langeoog and back. 🙂

Just one traffic circuit, due to parts of it getting cloudy. 🙄

Thought cloud base was 1400 ft, but it dropped to 700 ft of a sudden.

No sense risking the aircraft.

Another rather spontaneous after-work flight

Rating-relevant time: block 8:21, PIC 5:26. Crawling back to normal after an unusual long winter break. 💪

Due to decreasing visibility I only made it to the coast and Wangerooge. Since Spiekeroog was barely visible, I turned around. Spiraling upwards I could peek above the clouds at 5000 ft.

After four months of waiting I could finally take the Aquila to the clear blue* sky.

Nine traffic circuits, nine smooth landings. 💪

*) Your mileage may vary; these days Wilhelmshaven is plagued by persistent fog, so this seems like CAVOK to me.
