Lost a neon tetra this morning, probably due to old age; they only have lifespans of 2-3 years. Keane (our massive flag cichlid) was trying to make it a meal, and when I went in with the net to get it out, Keane thought it was coming after him, *freaked out*, trashed and swam over to a dense Amazon sword plant, turned himself dark to blend in and stayed still, saying “NO, NO FISH HERE, I NOT FISH, I LEAF, IGNORE ME I LEAF”

I still am amazed a fish can seem to have such a personality 😆

i got my hands on a couple of #mollies, albino gold, platinum tricolor, platinum zebra, and red zebra. now only missing electric blue to collect all five of my dream strains 😁

absolutely gorgeous fish and i can't understand why they aren't popular or even available anywhere outside of the philippines.

...but yes, i have a penchant for top-view/pond fish more so than aquarium, so that might be why 😅
