Version 1.0.2 of Task Compass is submitted for review, yay! There are multiple UI improvements and just as importantly, new screenshots.
The first two spots are app preview videos, I didn’t see much of those in the App Store. I wonder why, because I feel they are a great way to showcase apps.

The new urgent alarm feature in Apple Reminders is super helpful.

I am using it to remind myself to go to bed earlier. The urgent reminder goes offer at 22:00 and I have to be in bed by 22:30. So far, it is working a treat.

Still on my SOMEDAY list is ‘Learn how to self-host’.

I think the original idea was to keep my data self-hosted, so I wasn’t relying on others, especially Big Tech, but I never got round to it.

I read a few articles and a handful of videos, which put me off the process. I’m not interested in self-hosting email.

Really Wish #AppleReminders Smart Lists had a filter for Reminders Titles/Notes. I know I could build a shortcut and then automation to do so, but the Smart List feature is always running just like Saved Searches in #Finder do.

@to3k Co do tasków to nie wiem co tam selfhostujesz, ale ja też długo szukałem lepszego zamiennika (choć w moim przypadku było to Todoist) i w końcu osiadłem na... standardzie #CalDAV. W sercu arch. piasty i szprych siedzi #Nextcloud z #nextcloudtasks . Na telefonie mam Tasks.org, na komputerze mam Planify (nowa, świetna apka btw). Integruje się to z #HomeAssistant (co używam w automatyzacjach) działa to też z #applereminders i ze wszystkim co ma obsługę tasków po CalDAV.

I've tried many apps for boosting my productivity and spent hundreds of pounds in the process.

I've come to realise the combination of Apple Calendar, Notes, Reminders and Email are enough to keep things in order.

In a time when a lot of Apple software quality and design is eroding, I feel like the #AppleReminders team should get some applause for continuing to iterate and crank our truly useful new features on a regular basis. Didn't know alarms were coming but happy to have them.

kurczę, jak to mnie irytuje. włączam nowy skrót dodawania przypomnienia w apple reminders z control center na ipadzie (świetna opcja, swoją drogą)… i co? w polu wpisywania treści przypomnienia nie działa klawiatura (apple magic keyboard). po prostu nie reaguje. absurdalnie debilny bug 🫠
