A rousing, comedic, action thriller. Surprisingly solid message about how events are not based around locations or traditions, but upon people we care about. Families don’t have to be as traditional as this example, but that’s always the stronger thing to focus on.

The climax feels a bit soft, but there’s oodles of fun to be had along the way.

Special shout out to Sidse Babett Knudsen who appears here in a wonderful but too brief character role. Goodness, in “Borgen” she made Danish politics fascinating and more than a little sexy.

Pretty damned good!

Brad Pitt i Tim Cook zaskoczyli fanów w Nowym Jorku

Podczas specjalnego wydarzenia w Apple Fifth Avenue w Nowym Jorku, Brad Pitt i Tim Cook pojawili się niespodziewanie, by promować nadchodzący film Apple Original – „F1: The Movie”, którego premiera w kinach i IMAX odbędzie się 27 czerwca.

Pitt nazwał produkcję „najbardziej realistycznym filmem wyścigowym w historii”, a Cook podkreślił wykorzystanie technologii aparatów iPhone’a w dynamicznych ujęciach z wnętrza bolidów.

Reżyserem filmu jest Joseph Kosinski („Top Gun: Maverick”), a producentami Jerry Bruckheimer i Sir Lewis Hamilton. Zdjęcia kręcono podczas prawdziwych weekendów Grand Prix, by oddać autentyzm wyścigów F1.

Wcześniej tego dnia odbył się panel z obsadą serialu „Rozdzielenie” (Severance), który można oglądać na Apple TV+. Trwają prace nad 3. sezonem oraz planowane są dwa spin-offy.

The #AppleOriginalFilm centers on Kevin McKay (McConaughey) and Mary Ludwig (Ferrera), a bus driver and teacher who lead a school bus full of young students through the devastating California Camp Fire that ravaged the town of Paradise in 2018.

The movie begins filming this spring.
