Today was a mix of buses and our new rental car. We explored Aoshima and visited the island shrine, making sure to grab some local mangoes and Yuzu along the way. 🥭🍋
After picking up the car this afternoon, we finally got to taste the fruit at our place tonight... Highly recommended.

As the local sardine industry declined and residents moved away, the cat population remained and now relies on food donations and local caretakers.

Aoshima: Japan's tiny 'Cat Island' where felines hugely outnumber humans

Once a thriving sardine fishing island, today Aoshima is home to roughly 80 cats and just a handful of people who look after the felines with the help of food donations from around Japan.

New plastic kit: Khao Manee, the first product of Kemo-Pla (けもプラ =furry plastic kit) series by Aoshima.
The size is almost 16cm (≒6 inches) and the joints move well. Because some part of the thighs are sunken, the character can even take a dynamic pose with its legs thrust forward.
The molds of the body hair is a little rough, but it is not a big drawback, and the paws are really cute!

(*Attached images show a half-anthropomorphized white cat woman with body hair. They can perhaps be seen/thought as naked.)

Maron walked up the steps to check out some bushes on a spot along this wall. She started walking along the wall and I was wonderig how she'd handle the gap when it came up. The gap helped by giving me time to get in front of her for a photo of Aoshima in her background.. She jumped off the wall just fine. Someties she waits for me to carry her out of the car or off a wall, but maybe that's just when she wants some attention or something. Animals can be complicated too..
