Food Not Bombs Naarm

Food Not Bombs is a worldwide movement that cooks and distributes vegan food to anyone and everyone, without restriction.

The Melbourne chapter of the organisation currently gathers leftover organic fruit and vegetables from Queen Victoria Market and conventional produce from Preston Market, gives some to worthy causes, then cooks up the rest and shares it on the streets of the inner city and northern suburbs.

Everything that isn’t collected for free is paid for by fundraising gigs, catering gigs, donations where people can afford them and even from the pockets of the volunteers themselves.

Volunteers are always welcome! If you aren’t able to volunteer, your donations of cash or things we could use are also welcome.

Feel free to come out to any food sharing, or any cook up, or both! :)

Cook ups and food sharing are as follows:

Monday dinner
3.30-6pm: cooking at Collingwood Neighbourhood House.
5.30-6pm: Takeaway meals available at Collingwood Neighbourhood House, 253 Hoddle Street Collingwood.
Other meals taken to the Medically Supervised Safe Injecting Rooms in Lennox St Richmond North for clients only.

Will generative AI bring down Big Tech? - Anarchist Communist Group

The following translated article recently appeared in Alternative Libertaire, the monthly magazine of the Union Communiste Libertaire of France.
