she's gathering worms because her nest under the tree roots is super close by but we could not see into it since it was pretty much underground and completely dark... as opposed to the mostly dark ISO 12,000 of this area when she (briefly) emerged into what we may laughingly refer to as light

Short video panning over the #landscape in #Sumapaz #NationalPark, #Colombia. This is around 3,700 m above sea level in one of the largest remaining areas of the #Páramo ecosystem. The swamp in the middle of the scanned area contained lesser #yellowlegs, Andean #teal and American #coot. The surrounding areas held Boyaca #antpitta, Apolinar's #wren, green-throated #helmetcrest, many-striped #canastero and Brazilian #GuineaPigs.
